Serious Sam
Instructions for connecting Serious Sam to the 333networks masterserver.
Steam Supported!
The Steam version of Serious Sam is configured with 333networks out of the box. This means that you do not need to configure anything manually. You can start up your game and go online right away.
If you have another retailer version that is not configured with 333networks or another functioning masterserver, then follow the instructions below.
For everybody who wants to play Serious Sam online.
Game Client Configuration
Serious Sam has no configurable masterserver settings, but there is an external patch available that sets the masterserver entry to 333networks. Retail users can apply this patch to restore masterserver functionality.
This patch works with the following versions:
- Serious Sam: The First Encounter 1.05
- Serious Sam: The Second Encounter 1.05
- Serious Sam: The Second Encounter 1.07

It is also possible to set a different masterserver. Follow the patch manual and use the Query Manager to set a different masterserver of choice. See our frequently asked questions for help on selecting a masterserver.
